Around 1,200 brides and grooms will tie the knot today at the 15th mass wedding ceremony of its kind under the patronage of Prince Mishaal bin Majed, Governor of Jeddah.
The festival is organized by the Charity Society for Marriage and Family Guidance in Jeddah and will be held at the Jeddah Center for Forums and Events (JCFE).
The Chairman of the society, Judge Sheikh Abdullah Al-Othaim, expressed his thanks and gratitude to Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, governor of Makkah, for his continuous support for the society and its activities, and thanked Prince Mishaal bin Majed for honoring the mass wedding ceremony.
Sheikh Al-Othaim pointed out that the society has married off 7,870 men and women in mass wedding festivals that have been held over the past few years.
Sheikh Al-Othaim lauded the role played by the private sector, especially businessmen, as well as government agencies, in making the society’s program a success.
