Fed X Ally rode its momentum to a second straight Team of the Week award and became the early toast in the OFBC Friday Morning League Season 1 at the Ice Land Bowling Center.
After winning its first match by shutout Fed X Ally of Khalid Bustinera duplicated that result against Allan Salamanes’ Nomac 20-0 for the top total of 27 points on total pinfalls of 2,667-2,315 and rank points of 7 and 1.
D’ Cyclone followed its opening 15 points with 25 on the day but it was Jandel’s Pride that made the biggest leap in terms of points scored, going from 8 to 22 in the first two weeks of the young competition organized by Overseas Filipino Bowlers Club Western Region.
D’ Mountaineers registered the session’s second shutout win, 20-0 against Pairs and Spares for totals of 23-2, total pinfalls of 2,595-2,386 and rank points of 3-2.
Ric Reformado’s Lance & 3rdy crushed the Mixed Shots of Jerry “Ka Imo” Carredo 12-8 (2,661-2,670 6-8) in the other match. Lance wound up with total points of 18 while Mixed Shots had 16.
Fed X kept faith in its single set of five players led by Fedelyn Bustinera who drilled 555. Ally Bin scored 541 while Khalid added 538 and Pep Niera contributed 530.
Nomac drew 532 and 502 from Alex Torres and Salamanes in a losing effort. Danny Bautista’s D’ Cylone whipped Flexibowls 16-4 (2,685-2,631) thanks mainly to the duo of Tom Langa and Armand Gamboa who shot 614 and 545. Bautista tossed in 543 that went with the 523 by Bash Langa and 460 by Puri Parena.
Jandel’s Pride bested D’ Luf’s Strikers 12-8 (2,718-2,660) in a matchup that produced the men’s and ladies Bowler of the Week in Jay Bengco and Jana Delia Felesmina.
Bengco of D’ Luf’s rolled the high series of 619 on lines of 169, 213 and 165 while Jandel’s Felesmina had the best score of 597 in her division.
The trio of Aileen Miralbuna, Edu Toledo and Ruel Santoc backed up Bengco with rounds of 524, 510 and 509.
Caloy Nuguit rounded out the Luf’s scoring on 498.
Over at D’ Mountaineers it was Malou Nidoy that led the scorers on 517. Jun Baculod and Ric Tibayan tallied 508 and 507. Two-game contributions came from Ding Dela Rosa 181-165, Lito delos Reyes 177-137 and Rene Punzalan 148-175.
Steve Historillo led Lance with 581, while Evelyn Santoc and Eidris Mangoa rolled the other full games of 510 and 504 respectively.
