Eraserheads notch double in Almarai Saturday League

Four-time defending champion Eraserheads mentored by Armin Isles burned the lanes to clinch a Team of the Week and Bowler of the Week double courtesy of one of their bankable bowlers, Edwin Atienza, during the 25th session in the Almarai-FBGR Saturday Bowling League at the Universal Bowling Center here.
The event is sponsored by Almarai Co. under the aegis of Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR).
Eraserheads rolled past Kapit-Bisig 25-11 to emerge as the week’s best with Bowler of the Week
Atienza at the helm as he carded the high series of 990 on lines of 247, 288, 189 and 266.
Multititled Ronald Bautista gave Atienza a robust support with his 949 to go with the contributions from Armin Isles 894, Andro Tismo 857 and Fernie Ballano 832.
Kapit-Bisig got help mainly from the trio of Shawn Ricketts 855, Omar Valdez 829 and Joe Rafael 804 while Jojie Manalansan contributed 794 and Clem Ojeda 783.
Sebo Boys of Koko Torres walloped Benny Mondoy’s Exodus team 23-10. Ruel Pingol at 964 was the Sebo’s top scorer with Ronald Cruz likewise crossing the 900 series mark on 927. Sam Alinsod had 809, Angel Caasi 808 while Koko Torres made 380 and Reiner Torres 350 in two games. Joel Lambo and Cheng Lambo carded 826 and 819 in taking charge of Exdos with Jojo Miraflor on 784, Edgar Buenaventura 744 and Ely Fanugao 725.
In another encounter, Nadec Strokers mentored by Lope Ramires crushed blind team Expendibles of Hani Al-Nasleh 21-8.
Atoi Ramos was the Nadec top scorer on 865 followed by Jove Marano 850, Jojo Paciano 805, Reynald Medina 802 and Ruben Babasa 788. From the losing side Erwin Nacario led the way on 844, Jett Cabana tallied 841, Fahd Al-Haza 787 and Jerry Austria 768.
Elsewhere, RG512 for Clothes mentored by Yasser Mohamed whipped Alsalam Knights of Bandar Al-Marshad 22-10, Carry Over of Lulu Quejada defeated Almarai Co. of Emerson Mitra 22-12, Proshop Strikers mentored by Ric Urrutia Jr. drew with SABB Tenpin Wizards of Ian Choco 16-16 and Alinma Bank of Abdulrahman Ahmed won by default over Al-Fanar Precast 21-0.
