This is in response to the article “Needed a road map for Muslim renaissance” by Aijaz Zaka Syed. It was and wonderful article.
The first thought that came to my mind while reading the paragraph following introduction of Dr. Tariq Ramadan, was, how his message could be relayed to Muslim clergy, who control a majority of our folks. Without getting them onboard with these discussions, Muslim intellectuals are merely talking in a box. Toward the end, the writer did touch upon the need to involve Ulema and Muslim leaders in this discussion. But a road map toward that goal would help. — Najid Hussain, By e-mail
