Zamjaoui, Bouhyaya in all-Moroccan final in 34th BSF Desert Classic

Top-seeded Moroccan Fadi Zamjaoui and compatriot Yasser Bouhyaya, the second seed, brushed aside their semifinal opponents to set up an all-Moroccan final in the centerpiece singles A category in the 34th BSF Desert Classic tennis tournament at the Riyadh InterContinental courts.
Zamjaoui hammered out a straight forward 6-1, 6-2 victory over Richard Ravel, while Bouhyahya also had little trouble in disposing of Mohammed Nageh 6-1, 6-1.
The two singles A finalists then teamed up for the A doubles semifinal where they beat the Filipino tandem of Mariano-Biay 6-0, 6-3.
The Moroccan pair moved into the final opposite Diyaa Khateeb and Yassar Sheet, who defeated another Filipino pair of Ronald Sederiosa and Veradio 6-4, 6-3 in the other A doubles semifinal match.
In the singles B quarterfinals, Bandar Anazi beat Jabreel Aseeri 7-5, 3-6, 6-3, Saleh Zahrani defeated Cloyd Cuarto 6-1, 7-6, Jovel Espina ousted Ahmed Hussein 6-4, 6-1 while Abdulrahman Azzam eliminated Diyaa Khateeb 6-2, 6-2.
In C singles semifinals, Ahmad Tubigy beat Nasser Al-Rasheed 6-6, 6-4 , and Khalid Al Bahli defeated Mohamad Batta 6-0, 6-4
In Under 16 category, Abdulaziz Bayouk beat Jaime Cerda 6-1, 6-2 and Aanis Ahmad defeated Wadah Jabir 6-2, 6-0.
In Under 12 category, Karim Price beat John Veran 6-2, 6-2 and Jaime Cerda defeated Anes Ghould 6-0, 7-5.

Tournament Committee is headed by InterContinental Recreation Manager Mounir Melliti as chairman with Willie Biay as tournament director and Marvin Espina as tournament referee. Joseph Recolizado, Del Serrano, Alex Simpliciano, and Joey Salem are the committee members.
