Ministry warns travelers to Indonesia

The Ministry of Interior has called on Saudi citizens to fulfill the conditions required of visitors to Indonesia. Applicants for tourist visas should possess a passport with a minimum validity of six months and should have a return ticket.
Other conditions include having no less than $ 1,000 or a valid credit card (Visa or MasterCard) in his own name.
The visa to Indonesia costs $ 25 and includes fees for an entry card.
The Ministry of Interior added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been informed by authorities at Jakarta Airport that those who do not comply with the conditions would be sent back.
An official of the Indonesian Consulate in Jeddah recently said that the number of Saudi visitors to Indonesia was on the increase.
According to the Indonesian Statistics Agency, 86,645 Saudi tourists visited Indonesia in 2012, an increase of 3.38 percent compared to the 83,815 visitors who traveled to the country in 2011.
