Cee Bee, Bougainville, Faris complete 6-team stepladder cast

Cee Bee Aviation, Bougainville Phils. and Faris Entertainment Centers were the three teams to qualify after the three-game series with handicap knockout semifinal among 9 teams, setting the stage for the six-team stepladder championship round in the Faris Trading Monday Night Bowling League at the Jeddah Lanes in Mossadia Plaza here.
The three qualifiers join the elimination top three finishers namely Global D’ Barkads, MC Hammer and Taurus RDLR into the stepladder phase of the competition that started with 12 teams.
As the No. 1 team D’ Barkads enjoy a twice to beat edge in the championship match. In the first match of the stepladder, teams 4, 5 and 6 (Cee Bee, Bougainville and Faris) play two games series with handicap. The winner here goes on to the second match against No. 3 finalist Taurus for the right to meet No. 2 MC Hammer in the third match that will determine the challenger for D’ Barkads.
During the knockout games on the 20th week of the tournament Cee Bee carded the top total of 3,073 on games of 1, 014, 1, 012 and 876. The duo of Goying Salazar and Pancho Cuevas led the Cee Bee charge with series of 639 and 603. Cee Bee also had a pair of 577s from Paul Antiporda and Darwin Tumandao, two games of 231-184 from Johndy Cantara and 199 from Med Ramos.
Bougainville finished on 2,953 total pinfalls built mainly around the contributions of Faisal Relativo 595, Hassan Oraif 555 and Abdul Fatah Mugawan 533. The other scorers were Marcelo Manalo 183-214, Archie Santos 187-212 and Roger Daquioag 181-248.
Faris advanced with a total of 2,921 thanks mainly to the trio of Cesar Monares, Igna Salgado and Ed Labuac who rolled 623, 582 and 579 in that order. Contributing two games each were Edu Toledo 145-192, Rudy Valenzuela 199-162 and Atoi Cruz 201-172.
Jem Strikers missed out on the three stepladder spots with a total of 2,849 and finished the tournament in seventh place followed by Jeddah Lanes 2,794, Habagat 2,755, Blue Diamond 2,753, Al –Mottawer Engineering 2,669 and Brothers 4 Ever.
