For the fifth straight week there’s been no one else but Fed X Ally annointed as the Team of the Week. Welcome to Fed X Ally country.
Fed X Ally led four teams that scored shutout victories and continued its show of force by scoring its second straight perfect total win points of 30 en route to another Team of the Week award during the fifth session in the OFBC Friday Morning League Season 1 at the Ice Land Bowling Center.
Fed X got to 30 when it posted the highest overall output of 3,049 among the 20-0 winners against Lance & 3rdy, which had total pinfalls of 2,730 and rank points of 6.
Khalid Bustinera made the Fed X’s day all the more memorable when he collared the men’s Bowler of the Week award after shooting the high series of 654 on lines of 177, 203 and 202.
D’ Mountaineers’s total win points of 29 would have been enough for an award but it’s their misfortune that Fed X again overtook them for the second straight week. D’ Mountaineers blanked Nomac 20-0 on total pinfalls of 2,855-2,453 and rank points of 9 and 1.
Also scoring shutouts were Flexibowl over Jandel’s Pride on total pinfalls of 2,808-2,521 and rank points of 8-3 and Mixed Shots over D’ Cyclone (2,738-2,520 7-2).
In the other match, Pairs and Spares led by ladies Bowler of the Week Akang Victorino defeated the Luf’s Strikers 18-2 (2,712-2,561).
The trio of Robert de Guzman, Fedelyn Bustinera and Ed Cordova bowled solid to support Khalid at Fed X, hitting 585, 583 and 582 respectively, while Ally Bin added 177-189 and Jimmy Aragones made 207.
D’ Mountaineers banked on a single set of five players, led by Malou Nidoy who fired 628. Ric Tibayan carded 589 that went with the 567 by Rudy Jamon, 543 by Ding Dela Rosa and 528 by Hadi Pacheco.
At Flexibowl the team also picked five all the way with Cesar Pagtalunan the main on on 603. Danny Manrisa came through with 592, Tirso Bambalan had 585, Farida de Guzman 552 and skipper Voi Ycong 476.
Mixed Shots received 569 from Vic Gonzales, a pair of 545s from Jojo Esperanzate and Carms Lim and 536 from team captain Jerry “Ka Imo” Carredo.
Victorino ended up with 649 to be at the forefront of Pairs which also drew 482 from Richard San Victores who was the only other bowler on the team to play full three games. Team captain Jun Estefano had 136-156, Joey Calapatia made 132-226 and Jeff San Pedro tallied 153-159.
