SABSA Dunes Cricket Foundation has taken the initiative to have a full fledge cricket academy at Dunes International School Cricket Ground for boys between the age group 13 to 16 years. Emerging players under junior category will also join the coaching classes to motivate the beginners.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with cutting the ribbon by a group of dignitaries – Awad Al Qahtani, proprietor Dunes International School, Amjad Khan, Director Dunes International School, Dammam, Salman Salahuddin, General Manager, Saleh Ayed Balharith Company and Chairman SABSA, Nadeem Nadwi, CEO of Saudi Cricket Center, Hakeem Dowla, General Manager, Al-Tuwairqui Group of Companies and member of managing committee International Indian School, Dammam, Dharminder Manon, Principal Dunes International School, Farhat Mahmood, EPCA president, Sayed Majaz Qaudri, chief adjudicator of SABSA-Dunes cricket foundation, which was followed by recitation of Holy Qu’ran by master Hashim.
Abulhasan, Convener of SABSA Dunes International School, formally welcomed all the dignitaries on the dais, other guests, parents and registered members of cricket foundation. He made audience aware about the significance of SDCF and described the objectives of SDCF and its Vision. He informed that the qualified coaches will assist and guide the children in learning the art of the game.
Al-Qahtani, threw some light on the role of Dunes International School in field of education offered by Dunes and he added that the school also emphasis on sports and other co-curricular activities. Thanked the Sponsor SABSA for their efforts and dedication.
Nadeem Nadwi promised support to the academy and briefed about Saudi cricket emphasizing the need of participation of locals and development of cricket from the grass roots and hoped that the participants will be highly benefited by the academy.
Dharmendra Manon, the principal, thanked the sponsors and organizer for putting up an excellent show. He also advised the children to be disciplined and learn the basics of the game.
Sayed Majaz Qaudri offered a vote of thanks to all including Amjad Khan, Nadeem Nadwi, Salman Salahuddin Chairman of SABSA, without whom this event wouldn’t have been possible. He thanked the media Manager Sadiq and the coach Mohammed Qasssim.
