American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) will present a special four-day training event in Dubai focused on three of the organization’s continuing education courses for engineers and technical professionals.
The event is scheduled at Intercontinental Dubai Festival City, from June 23-26.
“We are excited about bringing our training programs for mechanical engineers and technical professionals to Dubai,” said Jackie Oppenheim, director of ASME Training & Development.
“Clearly, the Middle East is one of the most important regions in the world for the oil and gas and petrochemical industries, and ASME is pleased to respond to the region’s increasing demand for technical training, particularly with respect to ASME codes and standards.”
She added: “Our selection of Eram Group in the Middle East to join our growing network of authorized training providers worldwide is making our vision to expand ASME’s commitment to global engineering workforce development a reality.”
Siddeek Ahmed, chairman of Eram Group, said: “We are indeed honored to have associated with ASME as their authorized training provider.”
Ahmed added: We will make every effort to reach out to the vast engineering community working in the Middle East. With ASME’s world-class training programs, organizations in the region will be able to benchmark the skills of their workforce to a global standard.”
Ahmed said: “ASME’s broad and specialized training portfolio can effectively augment the ongoing nationalization drive pursued by various governments in the region.”
Ahmed said ASME, founded in 1880, is a not-for-profit professional organization with over 120,000 members in 140 countries that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing and skill development across all engineering disciplines, while promoting the vital role of the engineer in society.
ASME codes and standards, publications, conferences, continuing education and professional development programs provide a foundation for advancing technical knowledge and a safer world. (More information is available at asme.org)
He said ASME Training & Development is a recognized leader in providing workforce learning solutions for engineers and technical professionals.
ASME offers over 300 quality, highly accessible courses and training programs, specifically developed to boost technical competence and heighten managerial expertise — presented in a variety of learning formats — live public courses, e-learning courses, seminars and workshops as well as on-site, in-company training.
Importantly, most code courses are developed and taught by ASME Code Committee members who understand and can communicate code or standard relevance and their impact on safety, quality and integrity.
Established in the mid-1980s, Eram Group is a diversified business conglomerate with presence in 11 countries, including the GCC.
Eram’s operations are spread across several industrial verticals, including industrial and project management services, construction, consulting services, automotive, health care, travel, IT, manufacturing and trading.
