62 Saudis graduate from SEHAI

A group of 62 young Saudis has graduated from the Saudi Electronics and Home Appliances Institute (SEHAI) in Riyadh yesterday.
This was the third batch of young Saudis graduating from the institute, bringing the total number of SEHAI graduates to 222 since 2009. The graduates will work in electronic and home appliances workshops in the Kingdom.
The morning event was attended by Prince Muhammad bin Khalid, SEHAI chairman of board trustees; Khalid Abha Al-Khail, deputy governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC); Jiro Kodera, Japanese ambassador; and Fahd Al-Harbi, SEHAI director.
“This is the third graduation ceremony at the SEHAI. The graduates have successfully passed following two years of hard work and are now qualified to work in service centers and maintenance workshops of electronics and home appliances establishments throughout the Kingdom," Fahad Al-Harbi said.
The director recalled the great contribution made by electronics and home appliances companies and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, which lent its unequivocal support to this program.
“The success achieved by SEHAI is undoubtedly emerging from the blessed partnership between electronics and home appliances companies and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), with the support from our Japanese partners such as Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME) and Nippon Engineering College (NEEC).
“I also would like to thank the SEHAI technical and administrative staff for their unlimited efforts and dedication to help students improve their technical skills during training,” he said.
Al-Harbi said: “I believe the graduates will gain success in the future.” Underlining the importance of Saudi-Japanese bilateral relations, Ambassador Kodera said 58 years have passed since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
“Our bilateral relations have been good over the years and I am sure this will continue in the future,” he stressed.
Recalling the recent visit of Japanese Premier Shinzo Abe to the Kingdom, Kodera said his talks with Crown Prince Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, have stressed that bilateral cooperation would continue in various fields such as economic, technology and education.
Speaking on behalf of TVTC Governor Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghafis, Abha Al-Khail said the institute comes in line with the strategic partnership between electronics and home appliances companies and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation.
“The Saudi Electronics and Home Appliances Institute is an obvious indication of the strong relations in private sector partnership between Saudi Arabia and Japan. I would like to thank all those who contributed to make this venture a success, thereby gaining the admiration of our friends in Japan,” he added.
