Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah yesterday announced a series of measures for the employment of Saudis holding undergraduate health diplomas.
He ordered the Ministry of Civil Service to coordinate with all public health service agencies without exception to employ these Saudis in accordance with their needs.
“Those with civilian or military jobs will be removed from the list,” the royal directive said.
The diploma holders will be given training by agencies for not more than 12 months and will get reasonable remunerations during the training period.
A working team will supervise the training process, while qualified jobseekers among them will be appointed to fill vacancies or jobs currently occupied by foreigners.
Diploma holders who could not get jobs in the public sector will be transferred to the private sector where the Human Resource Development Fund will support their employment.
The royal directive also allows the diploma holders to pursue higher studies at Saudi universities or join the King Abdullah Foreign Scholarship Program.
Meanwhile, the Labor Ministry has set up a website for the employment of foreign scholarship students who have been urged to upload their CVs onto the site.
