Indian Embassy to issue 24,000 outpasses

The Indian Embassy in Riyadh will verify and deliver nearly 24,000 emergency travel certificates, also known as outpasses, to applicants across the country over the next few days.
A total of 3,700 will be delivered to the Eastern Province, the embassy said in a press statement yesterday.
The verification of applications submitted at the embassy in Riyadh will be from 5:30 p.m. Only those with token numbers mentioned for the dates below will be allowed after 5:30 p.m. on the dates indicated.
All other services including submission of new emergency travel applications and distribution of passports received from the Saudi authorities will be rendered until 5:30 p.m.
There will be distribution for the following token numbers and at these dates: 12,001 to 14,000 May 27; 14,001 to 16,000 May 28; 16,001 to 18,000 May 29; 18,001 to 20,000 May 30; 20,001 to 22,000 June 1; and 22,001 to 24,000 June 2, the statement said.
The verification of applications submitted at the International Indian School-Dammam (IIS Dammam), VFS Center in Dammam and neighboring places in the Eastern Province will be from 5:30 p.m. onwards at the IIS Dammam on the following dates: VFS 2,001 to 2,500 May 26; VFS 2,501 to 3,000 May 27; VFS 3,001 to 3,500 May 28; VFS 3,501 to 3,700 May 29; and IIS JUBAIL one to 100 May 30.
All emergency applications received at the embassy directly and through volunteers, fax, post or courier have been accounted for and are being processed. The embassy will release dates and mode of delivery for these applications shortly, the statement added.
The schedule of verification for delivery and list of applicants with token numbers will be uploaded onto the embassy's website www.indianembassy.org.sa. The list would also be displayed at the IIS Dammam and VFS Center in Dammam.
Those in possession of unutilized emergency certificates with expired validity may approach the embassy or IIS Dammam for re-validation. Those who have valid passports need not go to the embassy. They may approach the passport office or deportation center for final exit.
The embassy said that anyone who obtains emergency certificates from the embassy would have their current passports canceled. They would not be able to travel out of India on such passports.
