S*uce Gifts: A 24/7 shopping experience

S*uce Boutique’s name comes from the word sauce, something that adds flavor, zest or piquancy. The boutique made and sustained a promise to be a place where shopping is fun and where collections are curated. This is a spot where every find has a story to tell and a secret worth sharing.
S*uce Gifts is the latest addition to the family of S*uce Boutiques in Dubai. The award winning multi-brand fashion and lifestyle concept has already four locations; Dubai Mall, Village Mall, Marina Mall, Outlet and now the gift shop in Al-Wasl Square.
Arab News spoke with Zayan Ghandour, who also holds the position of creative director and head buyer. Ghandour, whose motto is: “Love what you love without hesitation” told all about the concept of the boutique, the new shop and their tactic to compete against rivals in a city that is loaded with all sorts of boutiques.
“The idea for S*uce grew out of me and my partner’s desire to create a fun shopping experience and carry brands that were otherwise unavailable in the region. We set out to find brands that were unique and had that extra detail, pieces that were conversation starters,” said Ghandour.
S*uce has supported regional talent from the very start, believing in the potential of local designers and stocking various brands who were as yet unknown and have now grown into household names.
“We always steered clear of anything that was simple and basic because we felt that those were widely available. S*uce embraces the concept that fashion is fun first and foremost, and that people should always express themselves creatively through fashion, and not be afraid to try out new things or stand out in the crowd,” added Ghandour.
She and her business partner found themselves increasingly including lifestyle items in the range of S*uce Boutiques. “Over time, as we saw more and more beautiful pieces on our travels. We felt the need to buy more but simply didn’t have the retail space for them. Eventually, as with everything, the time was right and it just happened organically. S*uce Gifts is now a beautifully curated space with a million and one gift ideas for every possible occasion.”
The shop also has a gift vending machine which is the region’s first 24/7 shopping experience. The machine is located in S*uce Gifts but separated from the rest of the store after 10 p.m. so it is accessible around the clock. It currently has a selection of 35 items, ranging from accessories, jewelry, candles, cards and T-shirts to customized travel packages in boutique hotels. The selection will be changing every month.
“We are always on the hunt for new up-and-coming designers from all over the world and are collaborating with local and regional talent who present original and creative designs and new ideas.”
S*uce Gifts is located in Al-Wasl Square, opposite Safa Park in Dubai’s Jumeirah District.
