The Jeddah-based Pakistan Journalists Forum (PJF) recently held its annual elections and elected new office bearers for the next two years.
During a recent meeting, PJF members came forth to cast their vote in the presence of Shahbaz Ahmed, former country manager of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Amir Mohammad Khan was elected chairman, Shahid Nayeem president and Jamil Rathore general secretary. Mujeeb Hassan and Mahmood Hasan were selected as executive members.
The PJF works for the benefit of the Pakistani community and strives to create a conducive atmosphere that enhances Saudi-Pakistani relationships. “We are representatives of the Pakistani community; we endeavor to highlight community issues and help using all the means available to us. We want to promote Pakistani-Saudi relations and will continue our hard work in this regard,” said Khan.
Sohail Ali Khan, the press consul at the Pakistani Consulate, congratulated the newly elected members and assured them of his full support.
