Finance Minister Ibrahim Al-Assaf has honored Bank AlJazira for sponsoring the Saudi International Forum for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.
It took place in Riyadh in the presence of Commerce and Industry Minister Tawfiq Al-Rabiah.
Nabil Al-Hoshan, AlJazira CEO, expressed his pleasure at the honor and extended gratitude to the Minister of Finance for his constant support of the events aiming to enhance the performance of Saudi local economy and assist its growth and development.
Al-Hoshan also said the sponsorship reflects the bank’s keenness on supporting and developing the SME sector; in light of the directives of the Saudi leadership with regard to achieving economic and social sustainable development.
“Since the SME sector constitutes one of the main pillars of the sought-after economic development, Bank AlJazira is keen on offering support to these promising investments which, according to the latest statistical data, represent 93 percent of the projects in the Kingdom,” said the CEO.
“Thus, our bank has implemented a strategy to cover the financing needs of SMEs, and is designing innovative programs, like Kafala, that are tailored to their specific requirements in accordance with the best banking and financing practices,” added the CEO.
