Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman, who is also president of the board of trustees of the Madinah Foundation for Local Community Development, will establish a youth advisory council, which will run within the foundation’s organizational framework.
Bahjat Juneid, secretary-general of the foundation, said the council is a dialogue forum where youth can express their needs, problems and issues of interest. The council aims to instill national values in the youth and nurture their ambitions within a developed framework.
It aims to open channels of communication with decision makers, develop dialogue with youth and give them an opportunity to take part in solving their problems.
The council will participate in preparing and organizing the annual meeting of the youths of the area with the prince and study the needs and demands of young people and present them to official bodies. It will discuss youth issues and problems and suggest solutions. It will also participate in coordinating and implementing different events and activities that will give the youth the opportunity to use their time wisely, in addition to tending to disabled youngsters and including them in different events and activities.
Prince Faisal will sponsor the events of the Aramco cultural summer program next Wednesday in Madinah, which will be held in the King Fahd Central Park.
Homoud Al-Otaibi, Aramco representative in Yanbu, said the program includes awareness sessions and cultural and entertainment programs.
An exhibition about the history of the oil industry in Saudi Arabia will be held alongside the events. A number of workshops will be held to enhance the skills of the participants.
