The Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS) was lauded here this week for producing skilled graduates for the security sector.
Interior Minister Prince Muhammad bin Naif bin Abdulaziz attended the NAUSS annual graduation ceremony on Tuesday.
There were a number of post-graduate students and other graduates from the colleges of strategic sciences, forensic sciences and languages, the Saudi Press agency said.
President of NAUSS, Dr. Jama’an Raqush, underscored the efforts of the late prince Naif in establishing the university.
Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdulatif Al-Ziani praised the Kingdom for supporting initiatives to ensure more solidarity and coordination between Arab countries.
Director of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Lebanon Fawzi Al-Zayud, speaking on behalf of the regional IOM director, touched on the role of the Kingdom in the fight against terrorism and other crimes.
Advisor of the secretary general of the Arab League Mohammed Rudwan lauded the leading role being played by NAUSS in this regard and said it offered a model which other countries should follow.
Prince Muhammad distributed certificates to the graduates. He also received memorial shields and gifts from the representatives of the IOM, United Nations and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR).
