It’s good to hear the Labor Ministry is planning to regulate salary payments. However, it would have been better if the ministry had also done something to monitor monitors amounts being paid to the employees.
I suggest that there should be a system, which makes it mandatory a minimum amount to be paid as a salary for an employee in a particular position.
I feel that the system should be implemented from its proposed date so that all those companies that don’t pay salaries on time are taken to task by the concerned authorities.
In the country where I come from the government has no regulation over salaries and wages. The proposal of the Saudi government is commendable and should be implemented in all its earnestness. — Mohammed Abdul Majid, Hyderabad
