Zaldy Bacero claimed back-to-back Bowler of the Week awards in sessions six and seven to become the first player with the most number of individual performance award at four in the FEDBG Friday Morning Bowling League Invitational Meet at the Bowling City here.
Bacero followed his week six 670 with a 686 the next session to keep the Ekis-4’s dominating display in the tournament.
Bacero carded big games of 235, 206 and 245 to inspire Sol Cuenca and Tommy de Castro to shoot 670 and 619 including respective high games of 209 and 205.
Combined with 1637 from Alma Bacero, Ruben Grino and team captain Ernie Geslani, Ekis-4 completed a double with another Team of the Week achievement of 3612 for 37 points on the day. Nearest pursuer Pin Rockers were left behind at 219.5-189.5.
Eloisa Fernandez bested all the ladies with her superb 587 contribution to Ball Care Team output of 3485 which gave Mongoose 26 points mostly hauled by Jimmy Mandingiado at 644.
Mandingiado had a scratch series of 572 including high game of 213. BCT hit hardest in Game 1 for 8 points, but with insufficient push from Rod Lofamia, Melo Amano, Fully Tabio and skipper Emil Payongayong they could only bank that much.
Richard Antonio totaled 645 in leading Silver Strike Bowl to win on 32 session points.
Antonio lifted Silver Strike with games of 221, 202 and 222 while Bobby Baraquel, Frank Afurong, Grace Funtilon, Obie Ycasas and team captain Edward Botardo jointly support with 2764.
Botardo and Afurong tossed in 602 and 610 with respective high game scratch of 203 and 210. Also performing well during the 8th week is Fernandez who followed her 7th session with another Bowler of the Week award-winning total of 629 that included an opening high game of 257.
Fully Tabio and Rod Lofamia provided valuable help with 583 and 573 for the 24-point haul of BCT on 3387 aggregate.
On team performance, the 8th week was another superlative outing for Ekis-4 as it got the honors again on aggregate of 3541 with Bacero, Cuenca and Faisal Relativo crossing 600 marks at 626, 617 and 608. Alex Flora, Malou Gime and Geslani combined for 1690.
