2 Filipino envoys end tour of duty

Two Philippine Embassy key officials left the Kingdom at the end of their tour of duty recently, according to an embassy statement.
The officials are Mohammad Noordin Lomondot, consul and first secretary; and Nilda Oliva, social welfare attache from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWS). Lomondot left on May 29 to assume his new role as first secretary and consul in the Philippine Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His replacement, Winston Almeda, will arrive next week from the Philippine Embassy in Paris, France. Oliva, on the other hand, also ended her two-year tour of duty on June 1 and left for the Philippines.
Meanwhile, the embassy welcomed new DSWD Social Welfare Attache Perlita Panganiban, a renowned social worker, educated from the University of the Philippines (UP).
She graduated from Saint Louie University in Baguio City, north of Manila. She served as chief at the Division in Institutional Development and chief of Technical Division of the DSWD in Cordillera Administrative Region.
Panganiban presented a country paper on child abuse in the Philippines at the Japan College of Social Work during the 17th Asian Social Welfare Administration Study Program held in Tokyo, Japan, in 1999.
She is a recipient of various awards, citations and commendations during her 33 years of government service.
