Makkah summer program aids national tourism

The Technical and Vocational (TVTC) Training Council began promoting local tourism in the region with the cooperation of Saudi Scouts Association this week in Makkah malls.
TVTC included entertaining, educational, cultural and traditional activities to attract children, families and visitors of Makkah.
Director of the program Ahmed bin Abdulwahab said participation of Saudis in these activates are essential to promote the national tourism, culture and tradition under the auspices of Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal.
He further said promoting national tourism, Saudi culture and tradition is the responsibility of the public and private sector as well as all citizens. This can be achieved only through concerted efforts of civil and governmental organizations.
He also said that domestic tourism is important for Saudi society economically, socially and culturally.
Waleed Felmban, supervisor the Makkah Summer Program, said it would continue throughout the summer period from 6 till 11 p.m.
The program includes competitions for children and families with entertainment events along with awareness programs and an exhibition of technical training courses of TVTC.
