Youngsters Revival moves up in OFBC 3 + 1 Friday Afternoon League

The Youngsters Revival produced a Team of the Week and ladies Bowler of the Week double in a performance that lifted it two places to second in the team standings at the end of the fourth session in the OFBC 3 + 1 Friday Afternoon League 2nd Season at the Ice Land Bowling Center.
With Bowler of the Week Carms Lim at the forefront The Youngsters crushed Pairs and Spares 20-0 on total pinfalls of 1,733-1,591, rank points of 7-3 and total win points of 27-3.
The Replacement got the second highest total of 25 points after a 20-0 result against the bye team on total infalls of 1,662 and rank points of 5.
Elsewhere, Versatile 3D defeated Makati Foods 12-8 (1,805-1,686 8-6 20-14) and Red Dragons downed RJ Transient Houses 12-8 (1,598-1510 4-2 16-10).
Veteran Voi Ycong of Versatile 3D captured the men’s Bowler of the Week plum after firing the high series of 619.
The BOW award was the second straight and third overall for Carms who fired 626 while leading The Youngsters’ charge that also featured 533 from her mother Vangie, 148-171 from father Toto Lim and 199 from team captain Jerry “Ka Imo” Carredo.
Khalid Bustinera top-scored at The Replacement on 600 with Jun Ejanda on 489 the only other player to complete a three-game series. Fedelyn Bustinera contributed 155-162 and Jayme Lugue had a 134.
In addition to Ycong the others that carried Versatile Guys were Tirso Bambalan 193-149, Danny Atubang 161-149 and Joel Alegre 180-162.
Red Dragons played just hard enough to retain the lead with Tom Langa and Cesar Pagtalunan taking chare on 553 and 523. Manny Tibay added 141-158 and Arman Gamboa 143.
Meantime, the OFBC’s Friday morning and afternoon leagues take a breather today to give way to the OFBC 1st Independence Cup.
The event is a whole day affair from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
