The phantom luck smiled on D’ Barkads as they captured Team of the Week honors in the third session in the Faris Monday Night Bowling League 18th Season at the Jeddah Lanes in Mossadia Plaza here.
D’ Barkads had the highest phantom score of 888 including 299s in the first two games and ended up with the top tally of 51 points,
Taurus RDLR managed 47 points in second place in the night’s race followed by MC Hammer 46 points and HBMR Nanding and Sarawat Superstores, who tied on 39 points.
Host Jeddah Lanes compiled 38 in sixth place with Selecta Ice Cream on 30. Blue Diamond, Scorpion Knights and Faris Entertainment were on 28, 26 and 26 in that order, while Jem Strikers, Boungaville Phil. An Mottawer Engineering brought up the rear on 16.5, 16.5 and 14.
Mohammed Al Amri of Blue Diamond was the Bowler of the Week after he shot the high series of 647 on lines of 210, 195 and 179 in this five-man team league event with a phantom player whose score is based on the highest score per frame, computed manually from score printouts and added when calculating per game results and points earned for the total score.
The phantom factor aside D’ Barkads bowled solid all evening, winning the third game that gave them the first-place of 14 points and posting the top overall output of 3,304 for a further 14 points.
Amro Al Amri was at the helm of D’ Barkads on 639. Leo Edejer added 610, Rey Beltran 595 and Bonnie Garcia 572.
Taurus got its goods mainly from the pair of Edwin Ronquillo 627 and Jimmy Urbano 621 with Raul delos Reyes and James Galvan matching cards of 568s.
MC Hammer received 668 from Zaldy Bacero, 614 from Richard Antonio, 608 from Jun Estefano and 512 from Jay Bengco.
League leader HBMR had Nonie Yap shooting the top score of 659 to go with the 618 by Rene Santiago, 530 from Nanding Siasoco and 515 from Rene Martinez.
Sarawat, knocking on HBMR’s door, recorded a perfect phantom score of 300 in the second game with Ding Dela Rosa leading the way on 642. The other scorers were Igna Salgado 579, Rene Punzalan 585 and Atoi Cruz 546.
