Three Bangladeshi expatriates were arrested by Al-Faisaliyyah police for stealing SR 87,000 from a Saudi citizen who had forgotten his briefcase with the money at an ATM counter.
According to the complaint lodged with the police by the citizen, he had withdrawn the amount from a bank and then entered an ATM kiosk to withdraw some more money. He placed the briefcase with the money on the machine but forgot to take it after completing his transaction. When he realized he had forgotten it, he returned to the ATM but the briefcase had vanished. He reported the matter to the police and said he was not aware who took the briefcase.
Maj. Gen. Saud Al-Ahmad, chief of Madinah police department, dispatched an investigation team to the location to gather information. Within half an hour, three persons were stopped because of their suspicious movement. The police searched the car and found the briefcase tucked under a seat with the money inside.
