Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal has asserted that the government was striving hard to ensure that the country’s citizens enjoy the best living standards through implementation of several developmental programs in the Kingdom.
He was speaking at a function to mark the opening of the Jeddah exhibition to showcase development projects initiated by 17 government organizations and companies at the Mall of Arabia yesterday.
Jeddah Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Majed also participated in the inaugural function.
Prince Khaled said the development projects were not confined to Jeddah alone with several of them being implemented in various regions of the Kingdom. This, he said, would throw up a lot of opportunities to the youth and help them in their development besides the growth of the country.
Thanking Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and Crown Prince Salman and all the government departments and the private sector for helping and supporting development projects, he said this was the time to develop and establish Saudi Arabia as a leading nation.
Stating that development plans were the need of hour for the progress of the country, he said the projects would show the world that the Kingdom, under King Abdullah, is indeed progressing on all fronts and in various fields of activity.
Prince Khaled praised and thanked Prince Mishaal, Jeddah municipality, Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) and other departments which had put in a lot of effort to make the exhibition a success.
The week-long exhibition is being organized by the Jeddah Governorate in collaboration with several government departments and private sector companies.
The objective of the exhibition is to disseminate information to the public on the development plans undertaken by the government, such as the new King Abdul Aziz Airport project and the Harmain Railway scheme.
