Hail hosts Jeep Jamboree

IN a unique event and a copy of an international one held in the United states, United Motor Company, the sole dealer of Jeep cars in Saudi Arabia, organized a new activity for the first time in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. It was none other than the world renowned Jeep Jamboree held in Hail in conjunction with the launch of Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in the Kingdom.
The three-day event included field off-road test-drives to explore the technical capabilities and high performance of the vehicle under various driving conditions.
It is completely unfair to test-drive any of Jeep models on asphalt roads without highlighting the off-road and obstacles crossing capabilities of the new model, and it can be more injustice if the model is Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.
Thanks to the organizer, this special and unique event was held with the Saudi press by granting them the opportunity to test-drive the vehicle off-road as well as to try the maximum capabilities of Jeep Wrangler, which is known to handle endless adventures and challenges.
A group of Saudi media representatives, under the supervision of a team of professional drivers and technicians headed by Luai Alsheheli, an engineer, test-drove a number of Jeep cars, provided by the United Motors Company, through the magnificent terrain of Hail.
This was primarily aimed at the official launch of Wrangler Rubicon in the Saudi market, as well as to explore the capabilities of the new model.
The Rubicon train is a 35 km long track consisting of asphalt roads and terrain, which cannot be crossed without using 4X4 vehicles.
The track also consists of rocky and sandy surfaces, oasis of palm trees, bonds and other natural obstacles. The trip even included part of the famous hard desert - Nofound desert - which is famous for its harsh dunes and terrain. It was also noted that Jeep Wrangler Rubicon was used by Jeep engineers for more than four decades to develop its capabilities.
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon performance can be described as a balanced and active one on asphalt roads, with unlimited off-road capabilities. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds (an improvement of 27 percent compared to its previous engine). The 'smart' automatic gearbox programming is very responsive to the road and driving conditions as well as to the driver's requirements to ensure more control and efficiency.
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon has almost unlimited off-road and crossing capabilities. The car can easily override sand dunes, wet, gravel and rocky roads of reasonable heights. The car is equipped with electronic range select system as standard equipment; this system helps the driver to effectively deal with the nature of the road surface and terrain through automatically coping with the road conditions. The car can easily cross water ditches of 482 mm depth, that is about half a meter. On the other hand, the car can drag a load weighing up to 1,000 kg.
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is fully equipped with advanced safety equipment, including electronic stability control system, electronic roll-off prevention system, hill start assist system, electronic brake force distribution system and many other others to help the driver control the car properly.
All in all, the experience of driving Jeep Jamboree and Jeep Rubicon was an adventure of rare experience.
