Alshaikh named acting Nashr CEO

Omar A. Alshaikh has been appointed acting CEO of Nashr Company replacing Abdulwahab Al-Faiz, who has resigned. The appointment was made by Prince Turki bin Salman, chairman of the board of directors of Saudi Research & Marketing Group (SRMG).
Alshaikh took charge as the acting CEO from July 1. His appointment comes after Al-Faiz resigned due to personal reasons. Prince Turki thanked Al-Faiz for his contribution to the company.
The acting CEO holds a bachelors degree in information systems and computer science from King Saud University, which he obtained in 1994 with distinction. He has worked for a number of specialized international companies.
Alshaikh has also provided consultancy services in information technology and digital publishing to a number of government and private agencies, in addition to other consultancy and voluntary services. He is a member of several national societies and associations.
Alshaikh joined Saudi Research & Publishing Company, an affiliate of SRMG, in 2008 and held a number of administrative positions in the company including CEO of Numu Education, a position he has held since 2010.
