Modern Electronics Company Ltd. (MECL), a subsidiary of the Al-Faisaliah Group and Sony, a major consumer electronics brand, unveiled its new additions to the summer 2013 VAIO line-up — VAIO Duo 13 and VAIO Pro 13/11 that are designed to enrich lifestyles.
VAIO Duo 13 and VAIO Pro 13/11 are embedded with Sony’s technical marvel in design, digital imaging, sound technology and connectivity, and provide an abundance of new personal computing experiences.
“Our goal with these innovative models is to provide a fresh perspective on PCs,” the company stated.
“We have achieved this through various factors including creative design and Sony’s unparalleled visual and audio technologies. Our main aim is to introduce devices into the market that portray the ideal balance between work and play. An example of this is the VAIO Duo 13’s convenient design where consumers can use the slate mode either for presentations or playing music, and the keyboard mode for easy editing of documents,” said the press release.
VAIO Pro 13 is described as the lightest touch capable ultrabook in its respective class.
By using carbon fiber throughout the case, the touch enabled VAIO Pro 11 achieves the light weight of approximately 0.770 kg, while the touch enabled VAIO Pro 13 weighs about 1.060 kg.
VAIO Pro 13/11s’ uni-direction carbon fiber body and Hexa-shell design provides the additional durability required for a mobile PC.
