Indian Consulate plans another job fair

The Indian Consulate in Jeddah has informed its nationals that if Ramadan begins from July 9, the fingerprinting process at the Jeddah deportation center (Tarheel) would start after Taraweeh prayer and end at Suhoor (i.e. from 10:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.).
In a press release, the consulate urged Indians to be present at Tarheel well before the said time. If July 9 is not the first day of Ramadan, normal working hours would be observed. It said that holders of stickers for June 25 and July 2, who had come to Tarheel on those days but could not be fingerprinted, can come to Tarheel on July 9 directly for fingerprinting. They are not required to obtain fresh tokens from the consulate.
“All Indians who have ‘final exit’ stamped on their passports/emergency certificates should leave the Kingdom as soon as possible. In any case, they should leave the Kingdom within 30 days from the date of stamp of final exit,” it said.
In case of any problems regarding booking or unavailability of seats they should contact the consul for community welfare and register themselves.
Holders of blank stickers will be called to come to Tarheel on July 16. If they fail to do so, they would lose their chance to be fingerprinted.
Those who have been fingerprinted would be called to collect their passports/emergency certificates from the consulate. They should not visit the consulate for this purpose without receiving such call. Those Indians who are not covered under amnesty for any reasons are advised to go back to their sponsors (kafeel) and settle their issues. In case of need, they should contact the concerned section at the consulate.
The press release said that the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has launched a website for job-seekers. Indians wanting to utilize this opportunity should contact Amjad Sharief at the commercial section or Indian missions in Makkah and Madinah and register themselves.
Encouraged by the overwhelming response from job-seekers as well as the companies during the last fairs, the consulate is planning to hold another job fair.
“Its details will be announced soon through the media,” said the press release.
