MoneyGram, a major global money transfer company, said it had renewed its exclusive agreement with Robin Padilla as its brand ambassador.
Last year, MoneyGram unveiled its partnership with the Filipino entertainment star and movie personality during the launch of its “Moneygrado sa MoneyGram” campaign, which aims to connect to Filipino receivers in Philippines and senders abroad, assuring them of a fast, safe and economical money remittance with MoneyGram.
“Robin Padilla has the kind of credibility and charisma that would make consumers trust in his product choices. Many Filipinos can relate to him and he is inspirational, hence we believe that he is the best choice to deliver our Moneygrado campaign,” Ananth Srivatsa, senior director of marketing for Middle East, South Asia and Asia Pacific, MoneyGram, said.
“We believe that our global campaign will help us to further deepen the assurance of trust among the 11 million Filipinos overseas who need to send money home on a regular basis and to be able to receive the cash within 10 minutes or deposited into a bank account,” he added.
“We are happy to have Robin Padilla as MoneyGram’s brand ambassador to the Filipinos around the world. His ability to relate to Filipinos from all walks of life, especially the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), makes him the right choice for our Moneygrado campaign. We plan to bring him to visit overseas Filipinos in the Middle East and Asia this year,” Srivatsa said.
With its presence in 198 countries and 9,500 locations in the Philippines, MoneyGram continues to bring families closer through its affordable, efficient and trusted services to send money home for the loved ones of Filipinos working abroad.
