The Labor Ministry has warned the private sector to abide by regulations for workers to work only six hours a day during Ramadan. It said that it is carrying out inspections to ensure compliance.
The ministry said that those negatively affected could file complaints with the ministry’s labor offices.
Labor Ministry spokesman Hattab Al-Anazi said the ministry would carry out inspections at companies during this month to make sure working hours are reduced to six, or 36 hours a week. He said this was according to Article 98 of the country's Labor Law.
