Joining hands for Ramadan charity, as it is a special time for charitable giving and for understanding and compassion, KIMS Medical Center Riyadh and Lulu Hypermarket jointly organized a free health check-up for all its customers at Riyadh Avenue Mall.
The health check-up camp has been set up for 4 days, beginning Saturday and will function daily from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., said Dr. Mahfouz Batarfi, GM, KIMS Medical Centre.
As a part of KIMS and LuLu Group International's health initiative, the customers may avail free check-up of blood sugar and blood pressure, and also consult the specialists who will be available at the site for expert advice and guidance.
Speaking at the launch of this camp, V.K. Abdul Saleem, regional manager, Lulu Hypermarket, stated that it has always been the vision of the top management of Lulu to provide value addition to its customers and improve their lifestyle.
He said this kind of health camps at the premises of the Riyadh Avenue Shopping Mall would be set up from time to time to stress the importance of improving the lifestyle of its customers.
Dr. Mahfouz Batarfi, GM, KIMS Medical Centre, Riyadh, also marked the opening of the health camp and said he as a doctor had always laid stress on the importance of preventive health check-ups.
“These check-ups, which might look very simple, go a long way to detect important diseases that have a connection with various other diseases,” he said.
The management members of Lulu Hypermarket, KIMS Medical Center and all its doctors and staff encouraged the customers who came there and did the essential check-up free of cost. They then had consultations with the doctors of various specialties who are going to be present for all the four days to provide necessary guidance and counseling to the patients.
Earlier, KIMS Medical Center, which is part of KIMS health care group in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE, Qatar, Oman and India, organized an iftar for children from the charity committee for orphans care with the participation of 50 children. The children were also given gifts by the doctors.
