LOS ANGELES: Katy Perry secretly recorded vocals on Britney Spears’ hit song “Ooh La Louisiana”
The Firework singer’s frequent collaborator Bonnie McKee wrote the track, which features in new animated comedy Smurfs 2.
The song plays over the end credits of the movie. At the film’s Los Angeles premiere, Perry told E! News that cinemagoers should prick up their ears when they hear it.
“Me and Bonnie secretly did some background vocals on that song,” she said. “So maybe listen for our voices.”
Perry and Spears didn’t meet until the Hollywood event.
“I can’t wait to meet her,” said Perry, refusing to confirm whether fans could expect another collaboration.
Spears is working on her eighth studio album with Black Eyed Peas producer will.i.am.
The 31-year-old pop star said recently she wanted this album to be “different from anything I’ve ever done.” She was loving the experimental process, she added.
