Semifinals start today in 1st Nokia Asha and 34th FBA cagefest

Fourteen quality teams entered the semifinals that will start today at the Sheraton Jeddah Hotel Sports Complex here.
The FBA management led by Edgar Mendoza (prexy) and Jonathan Canda (commissioner) sent official messages to all sponsors and participating teams of the tournament expressing their thanks and appreciation for their valuable support and contribution to the event.
FBA has also expressed their gratitude to the management of Sheraton hotel for their overall support and security provided for the group.
The tournament started last May 17 with 28 participating teams and will end Aug. 23 with the final games. It is principally sponsored by Nokia Asha smartphones through Paul Nehme, Nokia Asha marketing manager in KSA and Yemen. Other sponsors are the ever supportive Toya of Pinehill Arabia Food Limited of Tayyab Ali Butt, marketing assistant; the House of Donuts (Nassier Group) of Samir Nassier, the Palson Household Appliances by Issa Samhan, sales manager, and Ali Café of Rafael Villa Castin, brand manager. The tournament also enjoys the support of Team-Up Event Management and the Sheraton Jeddah Hotel.
The semifinal round will start at 7 p.m. today, with the first game between Hanco-Olive Arabia and AVK Wild Boys in Inter-Company Bona fide Group A followed by Al-Hamrani RBF vs. Nesma Holding Company Ltd.
In Inter-Hotel and Restaurant it will be Shadow Lounge 2 against Park Hyatt Jeddah Hotel and the highlight game at 8:30 p.m. will be the Game 1 of the best-of-three series between Samco-Marogong and Friendster in the Inter-Commercial Open Rated Division.
Also, Nokia Asha with FBA will give away Nokia smartphones in free raffle draw for spectators.
