Industrial reports say that construction projects in GCC countries will grow by 13 percent to reach $65.5 billion by the end of this year. The projects involve hotels, shopping centers and residential units.
Researches in the sector show that Saudi Arabia occupies a third of the region’s construction market.
It is expected that decor and lighting assortments will grow as well in the Saudi market during the coming period in view of the increasing interest in applying the smart lighting system and the support for the sustainable development projects.
In this context, the Light Middle East Exhibition 2013 organized by Epoc Messe Frankfurt in Dubai, displays state-of-the-art trends and smart solutions for lighting. A large number of Saudi and Gulf real estate companies and firms of decor and lighting are expected to be attracted to the exhibition that showcases new innovations in the world of lighting.
Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of Epoc Messe Frankfurt, quoting some studies stated that the growth in spending on internal decor and appliances in the GCC is more than in the United States, the European Union and Japan, particularly by hotels and hospitality facilities.
