Jabal Omer project: STC to provide smart links

Saudi Telecom Company (STC) and Jabal Omer for Development have signed a new deal to provide smart integrated telecom and IT services and solutions for a period of 10 years.
The move further expands mutual cooperation between STC and Jabal Omer for Development.
Their cooperation started with the basic agreement relevant to execution of the telecom network infrastructure for Jabal Omer development project signed in 1429H.
Anef Abanumi, GM of EBU sales, signed for STC while Samir Al-Qurashi , executive GM, signed for Jabal Omer for Development.
The Jabal Omer project, which extends over an area of 230,000 square meters, includes 26 world-class hotels spread among 38 towers, each of them between 20 and 48 stories.
The project accommodates about 35,000 residents when complete.
The Jabal Omer is the second biggest construction project after the Holy Haram expansion plan.
It overlooks the Holy Haram from the west and makes a connecting point and a key passing gate for the parallel King Abdulaziz Road toward the holy site.
This agreement is part of STC’s leading role of delivering business services and office solutions across the Kingdom.
The project is expected to be operational by the end of 2015.
