Bustinera, Alcantara Bowlers of the Month for August

Fedelyn Bustinera improved on a first runner-up finish in June by winning the OFBC monthly tournament for August last Friday at the Ice Land Bowling Center.
Along with Archie Alcantara on the men’s side Bustinera emerged the Bowler of the Month in the eighth leg of the competition leading to the Bowler of the Year Championship in December in which the grand champions will each receive Iphone 5 smartphone courtesy of Abdulrahman Al-Omran, CEO of Tahwell Integrated, according to the organizing OFBC (Overseas Filipino Bowlers Club).
Class C Bustinera went all the way as she joined two-time winner Malou Nidoy, who beat her for the top prize in June, in the roll of champions with a winning two-game series of 417 on scratch games of 202 and 125 in the ladies division. Bustinera topped the four games qualifying on 815.
Akang Victorino, Jana Delia Felesminia and Carms Lim followed Bustinera on 410 (136-166), 405 (159-156) and 380 (1430-129) in that order to complete the podium winners. Of these three only Felesminia has yet to win with Carms taking the ladies title in February and Victorino triumphing in April.
Alcantara, a Class C bowler, posted 406 to win the men’s division on games of 191-167 with novice bowler Conrad Baltazar in first runner-up on 394 (160-170). Edris Mangoda and qualifying round topnotcher Caloy Nuguit rounded out the men’s winners on 385 ((188-149) and 369 (175-146).
Orient Provision Trading Co. through Robert Stone donated the 5kg bag of rice to each of the two division winners who along with the rest of the placers also received cash prize from the organizers.
