The agreement signing took place in the presence of Maie Binladin, deputy head of CSR, and Sahar Alshenawi, assistant director of business development, both of CPC, and Professor James Calvin, VP education, Professor William Roberts, WEP chairman, and Marie-Laure Boulot, WEP manager from KAUST.

Almojel said: “We at KAUST are happy to share this passion with CPC as our inaugural sponsor for WEP 2014. By being a sponsor for WEP, CPC is not only increasing its social awareness program but also they are reaffirming the king’s vision in education.”
Professor Roberts spoke about the development of the program over the last five years and highlighting the main themes of the program.
“Looking ahead to WEP 2014 we are preparing to celebrate the UN International Year of Family Farming and the main themes of the program will include food and farming, innovation, underwater and environment,” he said.
Alaquil reaffirmed that WEP sponsorship is part of the company’s strategy to continue supporting educational programs at various Saudi universities.
“We are proud of our alignment with KAUST and very happy to be part of their community programs,” he said.
He also cited the KAUST as one of the best examples of national vision and sustainability.
