The third US-Saudi Business Opportunities Forum begins on Monday (Sept. 16) in Los Angles, California, with the support of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI).
The Committee for International Trade (CIT), an affiliate of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC), US-Saudi Arabian Business Council (USSABC) and the Saudi-US Trade Group (SUSTG) are organizing the event.
The event will focus on how to boost joint cooperation in high priority fields such as education, manpower development, infrastructure projects, petrochemicals and other industrial areas.
The forum will further touch on sectors related to agriculture, health services, finance, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), water and power, construction, and exports, media reports said.
Workshops will take place concurrently with the forum in addition to meetings between businessmen and firms of the two countries to set up joint ventures, the media said.
Based on two previous events held in the US — in Chicago (2010) and Atlanta (2012) — the forum will provide a unique platform for American and Saudi businessmen to set up new and lasting business ties, according to the media.
