Chilli’s, Caltex, Mr. Foodstuff beat rivals in 2013 Orient Watch-JBL

Chilli’s Restaurant of Robert Del Rosario beat Genesis 83-63 in the 2013 Orient Watch-JBL basketball tournament at Bin Mafouz court on Tahlia Street, Al Andalus District here.
Chilli’s bounced back from its last sorry loss against Fuddruckers. Deiparine top-scored with 19 points for Chilli’s and was adjudged as the Orient Watch best player of the game while Hernandez had 18 points for Genesis.

Makagila scored 15 points for Fuddruckers and was adjudged as the Giordano best player of the game while Nanding Unas led Al Naghi with 19 points.
United Naghi beat Jaguar 60-53. Playing coach Dante Caraan advised his players to applied trapping defense in the final quarter. The plan paid off as Jaguar committed crucial errors. Recayo had 23 points for United Naghi and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Ghian scored 17 points for Jaguar.
Friday, Caltex of Friday Club Group in Jeddah upset powerhouse ALJ Toyota 88-86. Caltex went to the open man in its last offensive and on the next trip neutralized ALJ with a man-to-man defense as the final buzzer sounded. Ricky Reloj scored 26 points for Caltex and was adjudged as the Saudi Sign best player of the game while Dorado had 27 points for ALJ Toyota.
Barangay Fame of Gerry Miramonte won against Tony’s Dribbler by default.
Mr. Foodstuff of Manuel beat Pinoy Jeddah Group 87-76. It was a ding-dong match in the whole game. Mr. Foodstuff displayed heart in the final quarter as PJG continued to attack their defense. Castillo scored 23 points for Foodstuff and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game Ilad Llanes had 18 points for Pinoy Jeddah Group.
Mini Cooper of Ronald Reyes defeated Hyundai Centennial 50-48. It was a low scoring ball game as both teams played tough defense. Mini Cooper wisely played its last offense and went to the open man Ronald Reyes in the right wing for the long two points to decide the game. Natividad scored 12 points for Mini Cooper and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Malik had 15 points for Hyundai Centennial.
