What in the world Pakistan government is up to? Why are they releasing Taleban militants? I seriously doubt that these militants could play any positive role in the proposed peace talks. I, for once, do not have any doubts over Pakistan government’s peace overtures but have this feeling that things may not turn out as the authorities wish them so. These militants pose a great threat to the security and peace of the country, which has already become a cauldron of chaos. Instead of releasing Taleban militants, the government must engage in talks with the US and ask Washington to stop drone attacks immediately. Washington needs to understand that a drone strike that kills three or four militants gives birth to a dozen more.
