Ejanda, Sagmit book spots in OFBC Bowler of the Year Championship

Jhun Ejanda and Shirley Sagmit booked their spots in the Bowler of the Year Championship as the men’s and ladies Bowler of the Month for October at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.
In third place at the end of the four games qualifying round, beginning bowler Ejanda rode a hot second game in the finals to win this monthly tournament from Class B and qualifying topnotcher Toto Lim.
Ejanda rolled a scratch game of 187 to go with his opening 124 for a winning total of 371 including handicap of 30 pins per game.
Lim settled for first runner-up on 352 (155, 173) with veteran Hadi Pacheco second runner-up on 349 (155, 182) and Jhun Estefano third runner-up on 345 (163,158).
Sagmit compiled 346 (154, 100) to win the ladies title and in the process denied January champion Mia Cedotes a second victory in the series that ends with the Dec. 13 finale where the grand champions will each receive Iphone 5 smartphone courtesy of Abdulrahman Al-Omran, CEO of Tahweel Integrated, according to organizing OFBC (Overseas Filipino Bowlers Club).
Cedotes lost to Sagmit by 2 pins on 344 and finished first runner-up. Minda Guevarra was second runner-up on 339 and Kristhea Mae Busico third runner-up on 329.
Orient Provision Trading Co. through Stone donated the 5kg bag of rice to each of the two division winners who along with the rest of the placers also received cash prize from the organizers.
