Warriors, Tubaran Marogong clash for title today

Candy Crush Warriors and Tubaran Marogong face off in the championship game Friday in the Riyadh All-Maranao Basketball tournament after beating their final four opponents last Friday.
Candy Crush Warriors defeated Malumbay Warriors 94-78 while Tubaran Marogong crushed Royal Shakba 113-82.
A large number of Filipinos and Maranao community leaders attended the games and cheered both teams for their spirited performance.
Philippine Embassy officials namely Consular Officer Ding Manalao and Attache Cabugatan sa Malungun Allan Manggis were also present.
The 2nd tournament was organized by Tamparan Islamic Development Association (TAIDA) Riyadh, at the Islamic Dawa Sports Center in the 2nd Industrial City outside of Riyadh.
Some 12 teams representing various municipalities from Mindanao and OFWs from Qassim and the Eastern Region participated in the event.
In his speech, TAIDA President Shalimar Salomabao said that everybody is a winner in this kind of friendship game as it was meant to promote friendship and camaraderie among these participating teams and community.
“It boosts and enhances unity among all Maranaos and OFWs,” he said. Salomabao is the product manager at Telemoney Arab National Bank.
