Apple Inc. has been granted a license to operate directly in Saudi Arabia, local newspaper Al-Eqtisadiah reported.
Under the license issued by the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), a new Apple subsidiary, Saudi Arabia Apple Company, will be specialized in the marketing and maintenance of Apple products.
It will also be involved in training and IT development in the smartphones sector in Saudi Arabia, the report said.
