Al-Ayuni Investment & Contracting Group of Saudi Arabia has announced the purchase of 60 units of Komatsu construction equipment through Abdul Latif Jameel Heavy Equipment (ALJHE).
Al-Ayuni Investment & Contracting Group was established in 1960 by Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Ayuni. Having executed over 500 projects, the group has made a significant contribution to the Kingdom’s construction and infrastructure segments.
Today, the group is much diversified and operates in various sectors, including contracting, development and investment, IT, education, water, gas, power, mining, ready-mix and vehicle services.
Ali bin Hamad Al-Ayuni stated: “We have chosen Komatsu based on their successful history and global reputation of producing efficient, durable and reliable equipment. The credible commitment received from ALJHE in providing top class after-sales support was a key deciding factor in our recent purchase.”
At the signing ceremony held in Riyadh, Hassan Jameel, deputy president and vice chairman of Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) Group’s domestic operations, stated: “Our business operations are guided by our core value – best in class service and support — and we have brought in industry experts from all around the globe who will ensure the delivery of ALJ’s promise.”
M. Arif Chishti, MD, ALJHE, said: “Guest care is central to our business. We endeavor to become our guests’ preferred partner, supporting them through the life of their equipment. The order, which includes dozers, excavators, wheel loaders and motor graders, is significant for us and demonstrates the trust placed by Al-Ayuni Investment & Contracting Group in ALJHE, a trust which we will fulfill by ensuring that we deliver on their very demanding expectations.”
Komatsu Ltd. was established in Japan in 1921 and is recognized globally as a major brand of heavy equipment. ALJHE was established in January 2013 as a joint venture between the ALJ Group and Sumitomo Corporation of Japan.
