Thunderstorms likely in Makkah, Jeddah

Thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds are likely to hit the Makkah region.
Announcing this, the region’s Civil Defense Directorate advised the residents of the holy city and Jeddah to guard against the impending weather conditions that might cause poor visibility.
Col. Saeed Sarhan, spokesman for the Civil Defense, warned the people across the region not to venture into valleys and open beaches at this time. The Civil Defense issued similar warnings to the residents of Taif, Khulais and Al-Jamom, and asked them to take adequate precautions.
