It’s summer time when everyone wants to enjoy the refreshing breeze and the shining sun, lie on the sand and get the perfect tan. Here are some tips on how to protect your skin from allergies, wrinkles, and patches against the sun.
Important equipment for your skin protection under the sun:
• A purse to protect all your cosmetics from heat.
• Water spray to moisturize your face every now and then.
• Two pieces of cotton dipped in rose water.
• Sun glasses
• Hat
• Slices of cucumber
Healthy food to have at the beach:
• A bottle of water
• Fresh cucumber, carrot, and lettuce.
• Yogurt
• Honey
• Fruits such as bananas, avocado, kiwi, oranges, and pineapples.
Before you head to the beach, remember to:
• Rinse and clean your face using facial cleanser and milk then apply a protection cream on your face to protect your skin from heat.
• Do not put perfumes; it can get you skin patches.
• Put Vaseline or any lip balm on your lips to keep them moisturized.
• Avoid exposing to the sun between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. when the sun is too hot.
When you suddenly expose to the sun after a long time, your skin color can change. The sun is ultraviolet and could harm and darken your skin if you expose yourself to it for long hours. In some cases, your skin will have bubbles and look red, use ice packs and apply after-sun cream to cool it down. For severe burnt cases, you might have fever and dizziness and you must go to the hospital. If your skin was too burnt, ask your doctor to give you cortisone creams such as Hydroxie 1%.
Some protection creams must be applied on your skin 30 to 60 minutes before you expose to the sun. Choose the ones that are waterproof so you can swim and feel comfortable. There is another factor that can make your skin sensitive; it is spending many hours in the pool that is filled with chloride water. Chlorine contains chemicals, which could bluster your skin. Try not to stay in pools for a long time.
Negative effect of combining sun rays with some medicines:
Exposing to the sun while you are taking birth control pills or blood sugar, antibiotics, blood pressure, and allergies medicines could bring you allergy and skin patches. It is better that you ask your doctor before you expose yourself to the sun.
Bronzing mixture:
If you want to get a fantastic tan, try out this mixture but be careful not to expose to the sun more than half an hour because this mixture does not contain protection:
• 1 tsp baby oil
• 1 tsp glycerin
• 1 drop of microcrome
• 1 tsp coconut oil
• 1 tbsp carrot juice
• 2 tbsp barley
Mix all ingredients well and then apply it on your body.
Pregnant women:
Exposing to the sun while you are pregnant can negatively affect your baby and skin. Your body passes through different phases and your hormone changes can get you skin patches. Tanning bed is very common but until now, there are no studies found if it has negative effects on the pregnant women or not. Some studies found a relationship between sun exposure and folic acid decrease in pregnant women, which will increase the possibility of nervous system defects in the baby. During your pregnancy, your skin is more sensitive to get burned by the sun; therefore, you should apply protection creams to avoid any skin patches. Doctors advise the application of creams to get a nice tan. You can test the cream in any part of your body and see if it does not harm you, before you apply it on your whole body.
