The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) on Sunday announced the launch of a campaign for the development of warehouses in a bid to enhance opportunities for Jeddah’s businessmen, in addition to the construction of two business centers.
“Construction work on the two business centers is slated to begin in coming weeks,” said Mazen Batterjee, vice chairman of the JCCI.
Adnan Mandoura, JCCI secretary-general, pointed out that warehouses will serve dealers and manufacturers and provide more job opportunities, in addition to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and enhancing the role of social responsibility.
Batterjee confirmed continuous support for investment projects that will transform Jeddah into an important economic hub in the Middle East.
“There are several giant development projects that will bridge gaps between businessmen and development,” he said.
“One such project is the construction of new hotels by 2017.”
“Saleh Kamel, chairman of the board of directors, signed the agreement for the construction of two business centers at the end of Ramadan and held a series of meetings ahead of construction work,” he said.
“The JCCI achieved great success in recent years by organizing festivals, exhibitions, the Jeddah Economic Forum and a large number of events on important occasions.”
