Civil Defense teams rescued four women who got trapped in mid-air when the ride they were on at a theme park in Riyadh broke down on Friday night.
The women took to Twitter following the incident, saying they had been stranded and had been rescued in good time.
The ride has been sealed off and investigations are under way to determine the cause of the malfunction, said Mohammad Al-Hammadi, Civil Defense spokesman in Riyadh.
“The four women are in good health and the Civil Defense will step up visits to such theme parks to ensure that they adhere to safety standards,” he said.
